Li Chao

Li Chao (Born in 1983 in Nanjing). Graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Department of Mural Painting. He currently lives and works in Beijing.

"When something moves me, I feel the desire to create." In a constant search for stimulation, the young artist working at a constant challenge pursued by the visual diversity of his works. Scenario bleak, clear color palettes and complex narratives are represented in his paintings, which are reminiscent of impressionist landscapes or compositions in leaflets of the great masters of painting. The classical influences with his careful work up a very personal artistic language.

Creation for Li Chao is a state of excitement, his paintings are all a display of technique, which combines with a light-filled content. Their concern about the incidence of light on certain surfaces such as water or snow, give us a landscape full of radiance and brilliance. Faced with the memory, history and conceptual Cui Jie, Li Chao proposed work of art sensory, direct, indescribable scenes where the light builds silence.
