It has been hard to arrive to have a Shag, all his shows are sold out  before the beginning. I had the first opportunity for the show  in Jonathan LeVine Gallery, but personal circumstances did that emails were not so important, therefore I missed the opportunity to bu a real Shag, but my interest was so strong that I least I bought a “bambino”, big one but only a partial drawing of the real one.

After Ron English, Shag attracted my attention, not because the subjects but because his simple strokes, his pastel colors and his LA environements.

I had to wait for the next show and be insert in a waitting list, I was ready for the mail and I bought this Shag, it looks fantastic. I wanted to buy the first and bioggest acrylic he mades, but I doubted a while regarding the price and it gones.

Anyway, I’m sure the works of Shag will increase in value, he is really smart and are very commercial.

Finalment un autèntic Shag, m'ha costat, però al final el tinc.
Perquè Shag? M'agrada l'estil lleuger i "banal" de les seves pintures, els colors pastel i les figures humanes estilitzades en un entorn d'edificis clàssics a l'estil Mies van der Rohe, a lo Malibú.
Tenia l'oportunitat de comprar el seu primer acrílic, però ja l'havia venut, era una obra llarga, esplèndida, però al dubtar un moment sobre el preu elevat no vaig ser prou ràpid.
En tot cas estic content.
